Our 2023 Theme:
Trust
Trust in the Lord and do good;
dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Commit your way to the Lord;
trust in him and he will do this:
He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn,
your vindication like the noonday sun.
Be still before the Lord
and wait patiently for him;
Psalm 37:3-7a
Our 2021 Theme:
Press On!
Theme Scriptures:
Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
Ephesians 3:12-14
Let us acknowledge the Lord;
let us press on to acknowledge him.
As surely as the sun
rises,
he will appear;
he will come to us like the winter
rains,
like the spring rains that water the earth.”
Hosea 6:3
Our 2020 Theme:
Joy
Theme Scriptures:
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Romans 15:13
Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy,
1 Peter 1:8
Our 2019 Theme:
Constructing Faith
Theme Scripture
2 Peter 1:5-7 (NIV)
for this very reason make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love.
Our 2018 Theme:
Foundations
Theme Scriptures
Psalm 19:7-11
7 The law of the Lord is perfect, refreshing the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple. 8 The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes. 9 The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever. The decrees of the Lord are firm, and all of them are righteous. 10 They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the honeycomb. 11 By them your servant is warned; in keeping them there is great reward.
Psalm 89:14-17
14 Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne; love and faithfulness go before you. 15 Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you, who walk in the light of your presence, Lord. 16 They rejoice in your name all day long; they celebrate your righteousness. 17 For you are their glory and strength, and by your favor you exalt our horn.
Ephesians 2:19-21
19 Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. 21 In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord.
Theme Scriptures
2016 Theme: God With Us
Our 2016 Theme, “God With Us” is a celebration of the rock-solid fact that Emmanuel is
not just a Christmas nicety, but a truth that changes everything. God is a relational being who grants us the gift and responsibility of being not just for us, but among us.
We are His people and in His service we bring Him great glory and receive the rejoicing of our King.
Leviticus 26:11-12
Zephaniah 3:17
Fasting and Celebration do not necessarily “feel” like they go together, but as we (the Western Hills Family) have discovered, fasting is intricately bound to prayer, that in its purest definition is a sweet communion with GOD. As we continue to explored our 2016 Theme, GOD with Us!, we embark on a purposeful twelve day journey of prayer and praise, fueled by the discipline, reminders, and focus that fasting graciously provides. Sacrifice and celebrate for the Great I AM and is living in us, with us, and through us!

2015 Theme: Transformed for Kingdom Living
Our 2015 Theme, “Transformed for Kingdom Living” Our goal was to engage with GOD in His life-changing, spiritually maturing transformation of us as individuals and as a Church Family into honest, gracious, and grate-full Followers of Jesus, faith-fully living His life and His love through His perspective and for His honor.
Sunday, September 20th, marked the kick-off of our “Hearing GOD” Series. This series is a follow up to September 13th's lesson, “Hear It Here, Hear It Now” where we dug in and learned GOD’s idea of listening is based on trusting Him, recognizing that HE – and HE alone – is GOD, and that when HE speaks, we listen intently and intensely and then we obey.
