We believe that the church is the body of Christ of which Jesus is the Head and whose members are those who have truly received Christ by faith. In accordance to the practice of the church as described in the New Testament, we have appointed Elders to lead, shepherd and serve the church, following the example of Christ. The election of Elders is carried out prayerfully, seeking God’s guidance and following the qualifications outlined in His word.
Acts 14:23 “Paul and Barnabas appointed elders for them in each church and, with prayer and fasting, committed them to the Lord, in whom they had put their trust.“
Armando Hernandez
Bio: Armando is a licensed therapist, and graduated from the Marriage and Family Therapy program at ACU. Armando is married to his best friend Carmen Hernandez, and they have one son.
Dave Arthur
Bio: Dave is Vice President at the Austin Graduate School of Theology. He and his wife of over 35 years, Caroline, have four adult children and two grandchildren.
Doc Hays
Bio: Doc is a practicing pharmacist (hence the nickname), and outdoor enthusiast. He is married to his college sweetheart, Carrie. Doc and Carrie have two adult children. Doc is an Eagle Scout.
Shep Strong
Bio: Shep is lawyer with his own practice. He and his wife Karen have two adult children living in the Dallas area. Shep is also an Eagle Scout.
